Find unique gifts at The Victorian Cottage Shoppe

Opened in the fall of 2002, The Victorian Cottage Shoppe has expanded its original focus on Victorian-themed home décor to include a wide selection of women's clothing and accessories. The owner, Vicki Schmidt, was kind enough to discuss some of her business' products with indianolatownsquare.com.

Of the variety of items The Victorian Cottage Shoppe boasts, Vicki highlighted one of her favorite products as the Bean Pod candles. Made in Iowa, the candles are made of 100% real soy wax making them environmentally friendly. Bead Pod candles come in several different scents and allow the owner to mix and match scents to create a personalized fragrance. Additionally, the candles can be burned or melted, and if purchasing the beads, the user can arrange them in pleasing designs.

Another unique product Vicki has available is the Vera Bradley line of cloth purses. Made in Indiana, the purses come in several types (from large totes all the way down to wallets) and designs. They have become increasingly popular among college students, with the number one selling location in Iowa at the University of Iowa bookstore. And it isn't just purses that will appeal to the college crowd: a large supply of instant coffees, cocoas and soups await the student enjoying dorm life.

If you can't get enough of Vicki's shop, there's a rewards program in place. Every purchase has the potential to earn points towards free gift certificates. So when you're finished buying present for family and friends, you have the extra money to buy that Bean Pod candle you've been eyeing.

Whether you're a shopper on a mission or simply want to browse, The Victorian Cottage Shoppe will have something you can't live without.
