McCoy True Value helps you with all your hardware needs

McCoy True Value has been a staple for the square since 1885 when it was started by the McCoy family. They were first located on East Ashland and in 2001 relocated to the old Fareway store on North Howard. The new store provides more space, parking, and a place for the greenhouse.

Opened in the fall of 2002, The Victorian Cottage Shoppe has expanded its original focus on Victorian-themed home décor to include a wide selection of women's clothing and accessories. Greg and Sondra, the owners of Funaro's Deli and Bakery located on the north side of The Square, have been in business for 12 years.


They offer an array of delicious meals.   Want a sandwich?   They have got it, pick from their many breads especially for you.   They are famous for their meatball sandwich on a hoagie sub that Greg bakes fresh himself, everyday.   The soup is homemade, including a soup of the day which is different everyday, and don't forget the scrumptious bread bowls to combine the sandwich and soup together.

Uncommon Grounds serves more than coffee

A friendly staff and delicious cup of coffee are just a couple of the perks found at Uncommon Grounds, located on the south side of The Square.


For the past twelve years, the coffee shop has been a member of the Indianola business community. Customers can order among an assortment of specialty drinks as well as a variety of soups, sandwiches, and desserts. Daily sandwich and latte specials are also offered.
